The Italian Serie A football club Inter Milan has announced the signing of English striker Denzel Dumfries. The 27-year-old has joined from Scottish side St Johnstone for an undisclosed fee.
Dumfries made his debut for St Johnstone in January and scored two goals in seven appearances as they secured promotion to the Premier League. He impressed with his pace, strength and ability to score goals at the back post.
Inter manager Antonio Conte was delighted with Dumfries' performances during training sessions and believes that he will be a valuable addition to the team. "I'm really pleased to have signed Denny," said Conte. "He's a very good player who can play anywhere on the pitch. His experience and skills make him a great choice for us."
Dumfries has also been linked with moves to other clubs such as Manchester United and Liverpool,Premier League News Flash but he is confident that Inter is the right destination for him. "I'm excited about joining Inter and I'm looking forward to playing with such a fantastic team," said Dumfries. "They're one of the best teams in Europe and I believe we can achieve a lot together."
